Amanda Dawson, MS, LMFT, LAC

I grew up in Illinois and earned my Master's Degree in 2010 from Northern Illinois University in Applied Family and Child Studies with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2011, my husband and I moved to Colorado. We love the beautiful scenery and the plethora of activities available. We love our community and have found Longmont a great place to live. We have one young daughter and a dog.

Since completing my degree, I have worked in a variety of settings providing treatment on a wide range of issues. In addition to my graduate training, I have completed trainings in Gottman Method Couple Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
